Great Dames Announces Premiere Pitch Competition for Small Nonprofits

A women-centric nonprofit will earn large cash prize, business mentor, and more

Pitches are now being accepted

(Wilmington, Philadelphia, International) Great Dames Inc. has established its first Giving Circle Pitch Competition benefitting small, women-centric nonprofits. The winner’s package includes a $5,000 cash award, a business mentor, and a business services portfolio. The application deadline is July 17, 2023, at noon. The virtual pitch event is Aug. 15 at 5:30 p.m. The winner will be announced at a celebration event on Sept. 28, 5 - 7 p.m.

The competition was established to help global women nonprofit leaders increase their effectiveness through funding, mentoring, and a strategic partnership with Great Dames. The prizes are beneficial for small nonprofits, notably the substantial cash award.

“We expect to hear bold ideas from women crafting innovative solutions to empower women and girls,” says Great Dames President and CEO Sharon Kelly Hake. “Thousands of influential women and men from the Great Dames community will hear these pitches. So, while there will be one winner, we are giving the floor to many nonprofit leaders whose voices may not otherwise be heard. And the global Dames community will be listening.”
